I can provide one time coaching on ground manners, I can spend more time with your horse to reset his or her ground manners, I can do more extensive coaching and training for rehab plans under the guidance of your vet, and I can teach you and your horse basic long lining for a more athletic experience than just plain ole lunging. Last year I started working with Catchagear, a 2005 OTTB as a full lease riding horse. He had some anxiety, but was constantly looking to his humans to try and do what they asked. He was the perfect project for me to learn more about how to use R+ to teach emotional regulation and test my own ability to self regulate. He loved R+ and caught on quickly, although his tendency to barge around with his shoulders when he got overwhelmed was a little challenging for me to work through. Our journey took a turn when he started twitching his fly twitch muscles violently when there were no flies around. Repeated observation, some investigation and a few xrays later and he had a kissing spine diagnosis.

Since then we have been leaning on R+, Hillary Clayton's work, the equiband training system and fun liberty exercises to change how he carries his back. He is now semi retired but that's no reason to stop working with him! I am continuing to teach him long reining and long lining and adding to our menu of tricks.

Socializing an Arabian Pony

My latest project starting in the summer of 2025 is Baltyka. With the help of Emily Petrichor of Heart of Riding, I hope to teach this spunky gal from almost zero to riding horse with R+. She hasn't had very much handling, but her personality is very bright and eager. She loves learning, she learns quickly, and it is a challenge to keep up with her ability to learn new things! Her biggest limitation is that she has a timer for how long she can focus when the herd is out of sight before she gets into panic/flight mode. Working through this with her will help me work through that with the rest of the herd.

We are going to take advantage of this one-hour session minute by minute, so I will ask you to fill out an introduction form prior our meeting. This way I will know how to best guide you.

During the call, I listen to you and advise you about the things you must improve, what tools you really need and how you can optimize your processes to improve the connection with your community and increase sales.
